Making an Impact in Grant County
Since 1980, Meals on Wheels has been nourishing our community by providing affordable meals to local residents in need. Originally established as a 501(c)(3) non-profit at First United Methodist Church in downtown Marion, we have worked to alleviate food insecurity right here in Grant County.
For over 46 years, our dedicated volunteers have hand-delivered low-cost, nutritious meals to thousands of homebound residents. Today, in partnership with Marion Health, we’re proud to offer wholesome, diet-specific meals that support the health and well-being of our community members.
Our Mission
Delivering Nourishment, Connection, and Care Every Day
Our mission is to provide our clients with affordable, nutritious meals, a friendly smile, engaging conversation, and a watchful eye to enhance their well-being and improve their quality of life. Our dedicated volunteers look forward to their weekly visits as much as our clients enjoy seeing them. Many of these volunteers have been proudly serving with Meals on Wheels for decades.
Service Areas
Extending Our Reach Across Grant County
Meals on Wheels is dedicated to ensuring that no resident in Grant County goes without nutritious meals and a caring visit. While we currently have volunteers serving Fairmount and Marion, there are several areas where we urgently need more helping hands.
We’re looking for volunteers in Fowlerton, Gas City, Jonesboro, Converse, Matthews, Swayzee, Sweetser, Upland, and Van Buren to help us reach all those in need. Every meal delivered provides not just nutrition but also comfort and connection to those who may be isolated.
