About Our Daily Meal Service
Meal Delivery Details
Meals are delivered Monday through Friday between 10:30 a.m. and noon, with each delivery including:
- A hot meal ready to eat immediately
- A cold meal to enjoy later in the day
- Juice or milk
Affordable Meal Service
Meals on Wheels Grant County delivers two nutritious meals daily for just $7 a day. Clients are required to remain on the service for a minimum of 10 days, and those who cancel early will still be responsible for the cost of any remaining meals. Please allow 1.5 to 2 weeks after submitting your application for meal delivery to begin. To get started, fill out an application, and a staff member will call you within 2 business days.
Food Preparation
Our meals rotate on a three-week cycle, offering a variety of delicious, balanced dishes prepared by Marion Health Cafeteria. We accommodate special dietary needs and food allergies to ensure everyone receives the nutrition they need.
Delivery Cancellations
If you won’t be home for a meal delivery, please call us at least 24 hours in advance to cancel and avoid being charged. Meals can also be left in a cooler you provide. Payments are non-refundable, so be sure to notify us of any schedule changes.
Hazardous Weather
Meals on Wheels will not deliver when weather or road conditions are unsafe. Listen to WBAT for cancellations—if Marion or Mississinewa Schools close, deliveries are usually canceled. No charges apply for missed deliveries due to weather.
Holiday Delivery
Meals on Wheels will not deliver meals on New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
